Barns are scattered across the Waterville Plateau in Washington state. Many of them are abandoned and showing their age like these two. But that's the beauty of them. The fact they are still standing is a gift. It's like traveling back in time to get a glimpse of what life was like here 50 to 100 years ago. These barns are retired but farmers still work the surrounding fields. The windmill is on a wheat farm I also visted in 2022. During that stop I met a man in his 90s. Told me his relatives moved here from Denmark in the 1800s. On this recent stop he came out and we talked once again.
